1. Our Commitment & Coverage
At TachyDex, privacy is an essential part of building technology that feels personal. Our products are designed to help you communicate, learn, work, create, and interact with an AI companion while keeping you informed about how your information is handled.
This policy applies to TachyDex's physical AI companion devices, desktop applications, mobile applications, websites, and related services. Different products and features may process different types of information, and we aim to explain those differences clearly before you use them.
2. Voice Interaction & Mic Controls
TachyDex's voice interaction features are designed to help you speak naturally with your AI companion. Depending on the device and settings, microphone input may be processed locally or transmitted to a service provider to enable speech recognition and responses.
Where supported, physical microphone controls and software permissions will help you manage voice access. We will clearly communicate whether voice features are active, what processing they require, and whether audio is retained. Microphone access, voice recording, and storage practices will follow the controls and disclosures applicable to your specific product.
3. Personalization & Context Memory
TachyDex may offer optional memory features that help your companion remember useful details, such as your preferences, communication style, ongoing projects, and information you choose to share. These features are intended to make interactions more consistent and relevant over time.
You should be able to review and manage available saved memories through the controls provided by your product. Where supported, you can delete individual memories, clear stored conversation history, or disable memory features. Information that is necessary for security, legal compliance, or other legitimate purposes may be retained where permitted by applicable law.
4. Data Selling & Third-Party Sharing
Your trust matters more to us than treating personal information as a commodity. TachyDex's policy is not to sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers. We also do not permit third parties to use your private conversations for their own advertising purposes.
Some features may depend on carefully selected service providers, such as cloud infrastructure, speech recognition, or AI processing services. Where information must be shared to deliver these features, we aim to limit it to what is necessary and require appropriate contractual safeguards. Any use of information for optional product research or AI model improvement should be explained transparently and controlled in accordance with applicable law and your available settings.
5. Security Safeguards & Retention
TachyDex aims to protect information using appropriate technical and organisational safeguards. Depending on the feature, these may include encryption in transit and at rest, access restrictions, secure authentication, and monitoring for suspicious activity.
Information stored locally on your device may be subject to your device's own security settings, while cloud-stored information may be held by TachyDex or its service providers. We will establish retention periods based on the purpose of collection, operational requirements, and applicable legal obligations. No method of electronic storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security.
6. User Rights & Data Control
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to your personal information, correct inaccurate details, delete eligible information, receive a portable copy, or object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
TachyDex aims to provide practical ways to exercise these rights and manage available privacy settings. Residents covered by laws such as the European Union's GDPR or applicable US state privacy laws, including the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, may have additional rights. We will review requests and respond according to the applicable legal requirements, including any permitted exceptions.
